Do any of you fine folks fly mini quads?

I just moved to the area and while I enjoy flying fixed wings when the weather is nice, I love my mini quads.

Hi Michael, thanks for dropping in! Welcome!

We have several members who fly mini quads. You should come to our swap meet next Saturday. It would be a great opportunity to introduce yourself and chat with some of our members.

There's also indoor flying during the winter, at the Legacy Sports Center. I know there are several mini quad pilots that fly there. http://hamburgflyers.org/forum/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=4

And of course you're welcome to turn up to our monthly meeting, which is at 7PM on the first Tuesday of every month (except January). I hope to see you there sometime!

Hey there Pete.

That sounds great.  The field is only 5 minutes from my house and I have two little ones that are getting really close to holding a transmitter!

I'll definitely try to make it out to the swap meet and the next meeting.

Hi Mike,
Welcome.  Thanks for reaching out.  As Pete outlined it would be great if you could come to our swap meet this next Sat, Feb 3rd.  Please let us know that you are attending.  It is at the Whitmore Lake Elementary school.

There are several pilots that have quads.  It is not unusual for pilots to fly quads, fixed wing, helicopters, etc.  We allow pretty much anything that flies at our club.  I have a grand son that is 7 that is buddy box flying and a grand daughter that is 3 that has had the radio in her hands.  So much fun!

That's my plan for this summer.  My 5 year old will start buddy boxing and the 2 year old can watch or hold onto a spare radio.  It looks like I may have found the place to do it!
