Gene's Hamburg Flyers (501C3) RC supporting group president approved this Hamburg Raceway plan document. The PDF is on Hamburgflyers.org under the RC Track link and the RC Track forum. It is submitted to the Hamburg park board, presented, and approved by the Park ADVISORY board.
It now goes to the above-mentioned Hamburg Township Board for approval and possible funding.
The local cross-country school group is objecting wanting to run through this area. So we expect some opposition and politics possible at the above meeting. The cross-country group has 2-years remaining on a 5-year agreement with overpowering all other park activities agreement with the township for their event at no benefit $$ to our park or its facilities.
Also, Call or email write one of these two if you attend or not. They will present your comments at the meeting. They work together and oversight the park's future plans and operations: Their sound and actions currently are they are on our side. Some of the townships elected are for the Cross country. They only need a path for their race and practice. They should be flexible but the leader is angry this is the 3rd readjustment for their path.
